Block UserGood day all ! The past few weeks have been challenging for the girls and I, but things are starting to "look up". My health became an issue again, and I spent 3 nights in the hospital, but I am home resting and doing fine. Thanks to all of you who wished us well and prayed for us.
Being at home and NOT baking in this cooler/cold weather is VERY difficult for me. Normally at this time that's about all I do with my spare time. Nothing beats the smell of fresh baked goodies and all of the spices that permeate the house...my mouth waters just thinking about it. My friends/family/co-workers have a love/hate relationship with me during the fall/winter because I'm very generous with my goodies and have ruined more than a couple of diets...but it's cold and you can always use the "insulation" to keep warm. Besides, who wants to snuggle up to skin and bones when it's cold outside? I've always believed in at least a little extra padding :) It gives you something to really hold on to...but I digress...
For those of you who don't know, talking about cooking, baking, food , recipes, etc. is like porn for me. I get the best feelings from knowing people have enjoyed something I've baked/cooked for them. Must be the "mommy" in me. My hope is to take a cake decorating class sometime before Spring. What can I say, I'm a glutten for punishment...ha ha.
I am however, looking forward to the spring, and the start of the 2009 Faire season. Hopefully the RA will take a break this year and let me pursue the character/characters that I'm toying with.
