About Me I have enjoyed Ren Faires since 1984, but only started participating in them last fall. I have many character interests, and am trying to develop several so that I will never be bored.
I am currently on a quest to reconnect with my intuitive side that I "repressed" several years ago because some of the things I saw/heard/dealt with really freaked me out at the time. I trust people unless they give me a reason not to, then it takes a LONG time to gain that trust back. I believe that respect is earned, and should be given, regardless of age. I am finding a new "oneness" with nature, that I haven't had since I was a young child. I have always felt a special connection with animals of all types, but grasshoppers, cicadas and millipede-type creatures will send me screaming in the opposite direction! I want to connect with all kinds of people, from all parts of the country through this outlet. Life is a lesson, and I'm ready to learn from all of you!

Music Mostly "oldies" from the 60's, 70's and 80's and some country artists

Movies anything with Heath Ledger, Johnny Depp, Sir Anthony Hopkins, Queen Latifah, Whoopi Goldberg...also musicals and ones about dancing. Have kind of become a horror buff over the past couple of years.
I LOVED "JUNO" and "ENCHANTED". Mary Poppins and Beauty and the Beast are two of my all time favorites.
I'm also partial to an obscure musical from 1984/1985 titled "SING"...it makes me happy!

Books COOKBOOKS! Fantasy, Horror and occasionally a "good" romance. I also enjoy books by V.C. Andrews. A good biography will also float my boat.

Good day all ! The past few weeks have been challenging for the girls and I, but things are starting to "look up". My health became an issue again, and I spent 3 nights in the hospital, but I am home resting and doing fine. Thanks to all of you who wished us well and prayed for us.

Being at home and NOT baking in this cooler/cold weather is VERY difficult for me. Normally at this time that's about all I do with my spare time. Nothing beats the smell of fresh baked goodies and all of the spices that permeate the house...my mouth waters just thinking about it. My friends/family/co-workers have a love/hate relationship with me during the fall/winter because I'm very generous with my goodies and have ruined more than a couple of diets...but it's cold and you can always use the "insulation" to keep warm. Besides, who wants to snuggle up to skin and bones when it's cold outside? I've always believed in at least a little extra padding :) It gives you something to really hold on to...but I digress...

For those of you who don't know, talking about cooking, baking, food , recipes, etc. is like porn for me. I get the best feelings from knowing people have enjoyed something I've baked/cooked for them. Must be the "mommy" in me. My hope is to take a cake decorating class sometime before Spring. What can I say, I'm a glutten for punishment...ha ha.

I am however, looking forward to the spring, and the start of the 2009 Faire season. Hopefully the RA will take a break this year and let me pursue the character/characters that I'm toying with.

While I never actually knew Puke and Snot, I have had the pleasure of seeing them perform several times. It's such a shame that wonderful talent such as theirs is taken from us so soon. My thoughts and prayers are with Snot's family, partner, and fans. He will be greatly missed.
